“Life, at Its best, is a flowing changing process in which nothing is fixed”

Walking Beside You
I am a qualified counsellor working with couples, individuals and children aged 15+ in an integrative way. We would work together to reach a deeper understanding of your world from many different perspectives.
I use a variety of techniques to enable you to feel comfortable and confident enough to express and explore your feelings and emotions. Together, we will unravel the past events that may be causing issues in your present and develop strategies to enhance your resilience and enable you to enjoy a happier future.
Most importantly, we work in the way that suits you best, at your pace, allowing you to make the most progress.
A Safe Space
My tranquil garden room in Tring, Hertfordshire, is a safe, confidential space for you to express your feelings in a way that works for you. I am here to listen, and facilitate without judgement or prejudice, and to value you and your unique personality. Our professional relationship will be built on a foundation of trust and respect.
Experience
I have an innate ability to care for and support others, this instinctive skill is fundamental to successful counselling, and provides a solid platform to support your progress.
Since first qualifying as a Counsellor, I have gained extensive experience in dealing with a broad spectrum of mental health issues.
My main areas of focus include:
• Relationships • Grief and loss • Anxiety • Social anxiety • Low mood • Feeling sad
• Family issues • Trauma • Not feeling like you • Work-related stress • Stress
• Self-harm • Suicidal thoughts • Long term illness • Life limiting illness

My professional experience has encompassed individuals from many different demographics, and with a wide range of support needs. As well as Purple Steps Counselling, I work within a secondary school to provide counselling to students from every year group. I also volunteer at Reach Out, Hertfordshire, where I support the elderly.
Previously, I have worked at The Chilterns Neuro Centre and volunteered as a counsellor at South Bucks Hospice, Time to Talk (adolescent counselling service) and at One Recovery Bucks.
